What Is Chi Kung Practice Like?

The form of Chi Kung that I teach is a simple, easy-to-do series of ten basic movements, which when combined with proper breathing patterns produce all of the positive benefits of traditional Chi Kung practice. These movements are non-strenuous and easy to learn, and they are performed slowly and with a sense of deep relaxation. The exercises are suitable for people of all ages - the age of participants in our program have ranged from young people in their twenties wishing to reduce the stress associated with their careers, to folks well into their seventies seeking a renewed sense of health and vitality.

Learning all ten of the movements usually takes between six to eight training sessions, lasting from 60 to 90 minutes each, but once learned the entire set of ten movements can be practiced in only 20-30 minutes, or the sequence can be divided into three distinct segments and practiced at different times during the day. A spiral-bound notebook will be provided to each student, with multiple illustrations of each movement. A video of the instuctor performing all of the movements in sequence is avaiable for purchase as well.
